Set in a time where powerful gods ruled Egypt, the film tells an elaborate tale of good versus evil as the ancient deities battle for control of this world – and the next.

In the film, a mortal hero, Bek (Thwaites) partners with the god Horus (Coster-Waldau) to save the world and rescue the love of his life from the schemes of Set (Butler), the god of darkness, who has taken over the Egyptian empire.

The Egyptian god of darkness, Set, takes over the throne of the Egyptian empire and plunges the once-peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. A young thief, Bek, whose love was taken captive by the god, forms an alliance with the powerful Egyptian god Horus in an effort to dethrone and defeat Set, and rescue his love.

Their battle against the god of darkness and his henchmen takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens for an epic confrontation.

The film is two hundred minutes of pure fantasy and adventure.
