Following a successful inaugural event (albeit with a bit of  a shaky start), the SA Beauty Blog Awards team was able to hand over R76 450 to the ‘Look Good Feel Better’ programme.

The inaugural SA Beauty Blog Awards in association with TanOrganic South Africa was held on the 22nd of August at Movida in Rivonia, Johannesburg with all proceeds going to the chosen charity, which is aimed at assisting women and men with cancer to manage their personal image and feel beautiful and confident throughout their treatment. Over 100 bloggers and guests attended the event, to celebrate the best in SA blogging.
The event was a great success and we feel delighted to have been involved in the first ever South African Beauty Blog Awards, and to have made a positive difference in the lives of those diagnosed with cancer _– a cause close to our hearts,” says Greg Gunner, Executive Director of TanOrganic South Africa, title sponsor of the South African Beauty Blogger awards.

“Presenting the cheque to the ‘Look Good Feel Better’ programme, was a great moment as it represented the hard work and dedication that went into these awards and made it all worthwhile.”

The ‘Look Good Feel Better’ programme is the cosmetic industry’s way of helping cancer patients undergoing active treatment, in a practical and positive way.

“We look forward to growing these awards in the years to come and maintaining the relationship with the charity,” concludes Gunner.

The SA Beauty Blogger team is thankful to the Headline sponsors NYX Cosmetics, Johnson & Johnson, EasiHair Pro, and Glam Palm, and to all the Category and Goodie Bag Sponsors, as the success of the SA Beauty Blog Awards wouldn’t have been possible without their support.
