So at last the latest addition is out and has broken records like no other ...
Arrow Books has announced that Grey, the new novel by E L James, has smashed the record for the biggest first-week sales for an adult title.  Grey sold 647,401 copies in physical and ebook combined in its opening 3 days of sale in the UK.

The previous largest first-week sale in the UK was for Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol which sold just under 551,000 copies in the 5 days following its on-sale date.

Susan Sandon, Managing Director of Cornerstone said: “We've had magnificent support from across the trade.  The excitement and enthusiasm that Grey's publication has generated is totally irresistible and I am delighted with these early results.”

The publication of Grey was announced via a tweet, Facebook and Instagram post by E L James on 1st June and the book immediately sped to the top of the online sales rankings.  The book went on sale officially last Thursday, June 18th.  Vintage Anchor in the US has announced sales of over 1.1 million in 4 days across their paperback, audio and ebook editions.

If this is your 'genre' of reading ,  this time you get to read your favourite but from the perspective of Grey himself.
