African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa, situated in one of the most important heritage sites in South Africa, has extended its five-star services to mountain bikers, as well as parents who want their youngsters to have as much fun as they do when they take a luxury break from town and city life.

From this month onwards, mountain bikers staying at the hotel will have free access to The Cog & Sprocket, the new mountain bike activity centre at the hotel. The centre boasts a deli with refreshments, bike washing facilities, a flat-screen television with sports channels showing major sporting events, a fireplace and shower facilities, among other services.

The centre provides the perfect place from which to begin either the 5km or the 15km tracks set in the beautiful surrounds of the world-famous Magaliesburg. Full moon rides and runs are also going to become a permanent fixture in the monthly calendar.

“With the hotel being perfectly located for both mountain bike and trail running enthusiasts, the latest addition adds a unique service in the area for outdoor enthusiasts. There are magnificent views of the countryside, and all the facilities sport lovers need to begin and end their outings in comfort,” says said Danny Bryer, Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue for African Pride Hotels.

He says the hotel already hosts various mountain biking events through the year, so The Cog & Sprocket, with its permanently marked mountain bike and trail-running trails through the surrounding farms, is simply taking the obvious step towards building these communities in the area.

The facilities are available free to GUESTS, but visitors are welcome for a fee of R40 a day. The centre is big enough to host events such as corporate functions, braais and teambuilding, and can accommodate up to 300 participants.

African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa welcomes children, giving parents a chance to really enjoy their break. The hotel has also launched a kids club where GUESTS’ children are welcome to spend a few hours playing with other children and taking part in child-friendly activities under the supervision of fully trained and qualified STAFF.
The service is complimentary for children staying at the hotel, between the ages of three and 16.
For children up to eight years old, there is a climbing wall, a castle playhouse, movies, toys, puzzles and other educational games, and colouring in. Tweens and teens from nine to 16 have access to PS4 with a variety of games, as well as movies, books, foosball and board games.

GUESTS are also invited to make use of child minding services for all children, charged at a rate of R85 per hour, for a minimum of 2 hours.

Bryer says African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa, by offering these unique services to their GUESTS, is showing that five-star hotel services can be varied and interesting enough to take in all kinds of tastes and needs.
