1 - Please share a little about yourself and what inspired you to create this brand?

I am director of the Aesthetic Division of Conquest Aesthetics. Conquest was built on plastic surgery products, but when I joined 8 years ago, I saw a gap in the market for non-invasive high quality aesthetic products. We are committed as a company to bringing quality, gold standard products to the medical aesthetic market, so when we got offered the opportunity to represent an esteemed brand such as Dermaceutic, we took hold of it with all our hearts.

2 - How would you describe your brand in a nutshell?
Dermaceutic is a dermatologist formulated chemical peeling and home care range, based on clinical studies and ongoing research and development. Dermaceutic brings you meticulously researched cosmeceuticals and chemical peeling systems that are safe, effective and can be used on any skin type.
3 - What would you consider to be unique about your brand?
The Dermaceutic Brand is effective, yet simple. You don’t need to use a million potions to see results. Phenomenal results can be achieved with a treatment of peels together with a couple of home care products. Simple, safe and effective.

4 - How many stores/branches do you have and where are they located?
We are predominantly based in medical aesthetic practices and clinics, around South Africa.
5- What ‘piece of advice’ would you most like to share with people considering a start -up business?
Make sure that your product is of the highest quality, offer the best service possible and ensure that you know your market inside out.
The challenge as a business is to stay authentic and true to your brand, how do you achieve this?

Because we are a medical company, we need to make sure that our products deliver. These are not cosmetics and very often we are treating people with skin conditions that are serious and need to be treated seriously. We therefore are exceptionally strict on who stocks our product, how those people are trained and that they receive the proper support from us as a company in every respect.

6 - What do you love most about being an entrepreneur?
Seeing my brand grow. It is so wonderful putting faith and resources into a brand and seeing it grow from strength to strength.

7 - What has your journey so far taught you {about yourself or in general}? Has it changed your life in any way?
Of course it’s changed my life! I’ve grown up, taken massive knocks, stood up again and fought back. I’ve learned to stand up for myself and keep integrity no matter what.

8 - How does the future look as far as ‘dreams and visions’ for your brand?
My dream is for myself and my amazing team to make DERMACEUTIC the biggest medical aesthetic skin care brand in South Africa. To educate the consumer about their skin and how to look after it properly, with good quality, medical grade products. #knowyourskin
