MUD Or rather MAKE-UP DESIGNORY has just recently lauched their first showroom in Cape Town and I was luck enough to attend the launch ...

Now if you are anything like me you will have a little giggle at the idea of ' MUD on your face', however this  brand truly impressed me with their ethos of  'creating honest make up products and providing quality education' as has been their proven history for the past decade.

The MUD brand was started by a group of professional make-up artists know for their work in special effects the world over, the brand to this day prides itself in remaining a 'Professional Make Up' brand, choosing to not expand into the retail market, but rather have small unique studio type showrooms where you can get quality one on one attention and advice (the locations of these are handpicked and not part of the larger retail malls).

MUD make-up prides itself on an educated approach to make-up; testing all the products rigorously in their own training centers and on film sets. Only once a product has been put through its paces, having been refined is it then considered worthy of the 'MUD Certified' stamp of approval.

MUD offers:
- quality
- long lasting wearability
- flawless finish
- accurate colour
- versatility

We had such a lovely time mingling prior to the presentation and what really stood out for me was the simple elegance of the showroom and displays.
The studio took a backstand letting the products shine and speak for themselves. I was also surprised at how uncomplicated MUD is and how versatile the products can be if used correctly.

Lindsay Fernandez ( MUD Western Cape) shared a brief introduction and welcomed  Brenda Botha (MUD South Africa Franchisor) whilst Vanessa Kroeger was demonstrating a make-up application alongside the speakers.
Brenda went on to share and explain the brand itself , it's origins, beliefs and future plans for South Africa.

Above is a glimpse at some of the fabulous offerings from MUD Make-Up with the simple yet elegant display stands and interchangeable palettes.
I am so happy to share that the colour pay off is absolutley amazing and I especially fell in love with the BARE LIP GLAZE and a gold tinged eyeshadow.
The colours err on the natural shades and hues, however that being said MUD are now launching smaller Limited Edition ranges which feature brighter and more on trend colours.
