Every now and then I come across a special that I just can't resist. This particular special was more for mumsy on Mothers Day than myself.

Mumsy has always hankered after Eisbein and with the newly opened Irish pub and Restaurant called The Brazen Head in the Seaside Shopping Centre Blouberg offering a great deal how could I say no?

Here is what I thought ...

The Atmosphere -
Is very reminiscent of the old Irish Pubs, with fabulous special effect paint techniques, old 'nik naks' adding a decidedly aged look to the venue.

The Table and Seating -
These are practical and comfortable with the option of either individual chairs and or bankettes. This particular venue has been divided equally between the Restaurant and Pub sections.( This is a franchise with at least four other branches around South Africa).

The Food -
Was exceptionally good , with huge helpings and good home cooked style meals you cannot go wrong. I saw a few of the Beef and Guinness pies going out and they looked as delicious as the Eisbein and Sauerkraut we had chosen. Our Eisbein was slow roasted (honestly was as soft as butter), served on a bed of mash with a side of Sauerkraut , as well as a sweet glaze.I will definitely be back and mom? she's addicted (tee hee).
The Brazen Head are known for typical Irish inspired food and have some real McCoys's such as The Boxty an Irish Potato Pancake with the most intriguing fillings ... can't wait to try these ...

The Service -
Was great , the food came fairly quickly and the overall impression was one of 'I will be back'.
