Last weekend I got the opportunity to go to the Women's Lifestyle Expo , this is a brand new fledgling expo which launched this year.

Mumsy and I went 'roadtrippin' into Cape Town with no idea what to expect really ...here's our adventure for the morning....

The Women's Lifestyle Expo was advertised as follows ...

'The inaugural Women’s Lifestyle Expo is headed to the V&A Waterfront’s Lookout venue for a three-day showcase of health, wellness, beauty and pampering over the Easter weekend: from Friday, 18 to Sunday, 20 April 2014.
Brought to the Mother City by events management company Mint Productions & Destinations, this event endeavours to provide mothers, entrepreneurs, superwomen and single ladies with a one-stop location to indulge their senses and empower their minds.' - Cape Town Magazine.com

Mumsy and I arrived pretty early so parking was a breeze and the expo was still very quiet , I loved the rest and relaxation areas, outside with the "astro turf" as well as the decks and the main hall's elegant lounge ... all in beautiful white leather and sparkly crystal chandelliers (to die for).

The first stand we cam across was a local tea merchant called 'ENMASSE' they had some fabulous leaf tea blends and equipment for the tea connoisseur such as thermometers , glass pots and more. I of course was enchanted with the Chocolate Chai whilst mumsy opted to taste a tea that was brewing.
(** note to vendors be patient and kind it doesn't take much to be nice, #enoughsaid)

You can find out more about this brand on www.enmassetea.co.za

Next up were two Fashion Brands and I am afraid I can only share details on one , the second stand was unmanned and therefore I have no info on who they are?

I did however love the Jo Carlin stand, and fell in love with this little doggie (even if his eyes are a little freaky) ..too cute.

So moving along mumsy and I got to drop in and chat to two of my friends who happen to be local make-up artists David Sharp - @davidsharpart and Lauren Chowles of @OmniVogue . They were doing free make-up for the ladies courtesy of NYX Make Up, if I wasn't having a 'personal summer' (hot flush) I might have indulged but alas they were far too busy later on ...
What a treat to be pampered by such a fabulous brand and professional make-up artists...

Mumsy and I had a lot of 'ooohing and aaahhhing' when we came across the next stand with the most beautiful pumps. This gorgeous brand Lisa King Collection is curated by the innovator/owner Lisa King, and both Lisa and her mum were wearing these beautiful shoes which are not only pretty but give your feet the support they need.

Ever the girly girl I was drawn to the next stand purely by it's whimsical prettiness , it was Easter weekend and this stand was all about Easter cookies , cupcakes and stands ...and of course they cover all other special occasions.

Lastly we came across a truly innovative and 'lust worthy' product called Batucada , this look like some form of rubberised material which is laser cut , the designs are intricate and beautiful.
These pieces are made to embellish the wrist and neck in all colours.

It was a small expo which has the potential to bloom. The tickets were a little pricey at ZAR 90 each. Lets hope that in the future the show grows from strength to strength.
